QF Backflip: PER-NRT Flights Stay

Well, well, well: Qantas has actually listened to the public outcry and has relented on its decision to route PER-NRT flights via SYD.

However, the WA governement has in returned promised to market the route for Qantas at its own expense.

I just wonder if other governments, such as the SA govt. had made such a fuss, whether other cut routes may have been retained, simply to save QF face.

Qantas reverses decision to suspend Perth/Tokyo flights
Qantas has backed down on its decision to suspend direct flights between Perth and Tokyo. The airline recently announced the flights were not profitable enough and planned to re-route them through Sydney, adding six hours to the journey.
