Hawaiian Airlines will add more seats on it's daily HNL-HND-HNL route when it starts flying the A330 to Tokyo this afternoon. The route had been served with the 264 seat 767, but the A330 holds 294 seats which will add about 11,000 seats on the route annually.

HA's daily HNL-KIX route will start next Tuesday.

Well, I hope that despite the Japanese economic crisis going on, I hope that HA will gain good revenue with this up-gauge of equipment.

Are you saying something about AA and DL?

Preliminary indications are that HA is doing well and has asked for a 2nd slot.

HA should be awarded a second HND slot!

Did DL and AA resume their HND flights? The 90-day suspension should have expired by now ... If it did, and they did not resume service, they should be stripped of those routes, and awarded to other airlines ...

Quite possibly... I'm sure glad SOMEBODY is actually using the slots that they all fought over.

At this point, if they want another one, and would actually operate it starting within a reasonable timeframe, I agree.

Hell no, I don't recall they ever started! There's a thread right now about AA applying for another delay, DL did it last month.

They are also startting HNL-KIX next week & there have been rumors of more Japan destinations in the coming months/years.
