Cathay Pacific has now have new unform for all the staff. What do you think of that new uniform?

Some said that uniform looks very mainland-ish china and grey uniform is for old men. But I don't see that why grey uniform is suitable for the old men. It seems to me that it looks alright.

red and champagne are must keep colour tone for female ones~
while for man ones, I dont see much problem. the colour can insert a state of calmness and professionalism into the cabin.

At the end of the day, it is all about the person who wears it, prettier persons always look better for whatever clothing is on

They're not bad, but apart from the guy on the left, I don't really see much Cathay Pacific in them. Red is never a color I associated with them, and yellow certainly isn't (I would have no clue in hell who the guy on the right works for).

Cathay Pacific has been using the colour red for their Flight Attendant uniform for decades, so a lot of people familiar with their service do associate the colour with the airline.

The new uniforms look good in person- it's more of an evolution of the older uniform.

The two on the left look good. The 2nd pairing looks a bit too....um, PRC uniformesque. The mass of red in the dress and the yellow and red in the guys tie is just not right.

Hmm I don't see a huge difference to be honest!

Looks very similar and the bloke on the right looks like a young Chairman Mao! Oh well... Still a smashing airline!

I've always liked the ladies' uniform in general and the update is very welcome. What I've always hated about it was the print shirts the women wear. They're dated and messy - the whole thing would look better if the shirt was plain white with the red collar (and still suitably Chinese in style). The men's uniform is fairly unappealing and I agree with a previous poster that there is nothing to distinguish them from anyone else. The chap on the right looks dangerously similar to the new EK uniform!

Asian airlines really seem to skimp out when kitting out the blokes (TG, SQ and MH)! It would be nice to see thought going into male crew uniforms, along the lines of BA/VS. I saw one of the AF guys the other day at JFK and while it's possibly the dullest uniform I've ever seen, it does actually work for some reason!

I think they all look very smart and all look very pretty.

The white print blouse does look a bit uncoordinated but still very nice. Maybe they could have had a pink'ish blouse.

For me, uniforms are very important from a customer service viewpoint.

very professional and appropriate for both sexes. I think it's actually better than some of the airlines uniforms here and more distinguishing.

I quite like the BA uniform as we as ground staff wear the same uniforms as cabin crew...is it the same at CX? Our uniforms at BA seem to work very well for us on the ground...

Flew CX HKG-SFO few weeks back and the FAs were already in the new uniforms. The white top with the red skirt is my favorite. I think the new look is great and is something fresh for Cathay. Red isn't my first choice for color but they pulled this off with some elegance.

Got to see them in person the other day. In fact, since the flight covered two days, they started the flight with the old uniforms and ended with the new. They looked very nice and professional.

There was a trial period where some crews who elected to participate wore the new uniforms. These were not the final designs and after the trial period finished these crews handed the uniforms back and wore their old ones until the final designs were released.

Is this really an all new uniform. The women's red outfit in particularly doesn't seem to have changed much from the design they've been using for the last 10 years!

To me it looks somewhat more like an updated Nehru jacket. A classic that's still stylish after all these years.

I guess I'm the only one who will miss the male purple jacket. I really like those purple jackets.

The guy in the vest looks similar to what the male EK FAs wear on their recent uniform update.

Yes, it took one year to research on the re-design / improve on that new uniform. The fashion designer wants to know CX's staff feedback - are they comfortable? beautiful? feel warm? not too tight? practical?.

I'm curious about the cabin crew hierarchy. Does someone have the role descriptions of the F/A, Purser, Senior Purser, and Inflight Manager?

Nice to see the various options by rank too. They did a great job here. I'm flying HKG-LAX next Sunday and will check them out firsthand.

I really like the school ties. The other thing I like is the brush wing lap pin. The name tag needs an update tho.

And amazing style in the lounge.

awesome...it looks good. least for the male F/A rank difference is more distinguish by the colours of the ties. I was told that MH will be launching new uniforms some time end of this year or early next year for the F/As. The F/As are going through measurements now. But no photographs are release yet coz its still p&c. Even the F/As are clueless how the new uniform designs/colours are. But what i was told that the males will get a vest this time and females will stick to kebaya and prints.
