It was a surprise this AM to see an ANA 773 depart directly ahead of our Flight on 30L from MSP this morning ... One of the pleasant surprises on a Monday AM commute.. Sorry no pics as it was on the wrong side for me to chance the phone nazis...

It looks like they did not have much fuel for a divert since they did not enter a holding pattern. I would have thought that they would have put enough fuel on for a divert + holding, but it does not look that way. I am guessing that they did not forecast weather when they left NRT.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!
