On Tuesday evening, I flew close by the Cincinnati CVG airport (approx. 8pm EST) for an aerial photography session and heard on the departure frequency DL Flight #9901; what kind of a flight has that kind of number?
Thanks for any replies..

I was flying DL 626 CVG-CLE and the flight was a continuation of a flight in from Denver. The flight to CLE was schedule to depart at 10:50pm, but the flight from Denver was delayed and not going to get in until about midnight. So, Delta got another aircraft to fill the flight to CLE. But, I guess you can't have two different flights with the same flight number in the air at the same time. So, my flight was DL 99--, although on the board it was flight 626.

If you go to Delta.com and scroll down you will see the flight info box. Type in 9901 and click on go. You will see that it is an arrival into CVG from Seattle. It's not from SEA though. It is a delivery of a 738 from the boeing field. Thats why the flight number was so weird.
