OMAHA, Neb. -- A suspicious item at Eppley Airfield prompted the evacuation of Terminal B on Wednesday.

Transportation Security Administration officials said the item was found in a carry-on bag as it went through X-ray screening around noon. Out of caution, the terminal was evacuated and screening operations were halted, officials said.

The bomb squad was called in to remove the item for further examination, according to the TSA.

Passengers said an alarm sounded in the north terminal, and TSA officials began to evacuate people from the airport.

A check of departures and arrivals on the airport's website indicates some flight schedules have been pushed back.

The TSA said screening operations continue at the south checkpoint in Terminal A.

We need more of those! (though not necessarily of this variety)

Seems like everything's under control, at least.

Cool. What happened? A bag left somewhere, a box? Perhaps someone was carrying an alarm clock and Magic Markers in his suitcase?
