The UA/CO timetable(s) shows all CR2s and ER4s from MKE, with the exception of one IAH flight on a CR7.

That is what I thought.. Nice upgrade from a ER-4 or CR2 to an E70. The aricraft also went to the west side of the terminal. Opposite of the normal UA gates...

UA Express used an E-70 for one summer on two of their MKE-DEN flights but that was at least 5 or 6 years ago, so I would agree with FWAERJ it was an equipment sub for vwhatever reason .
I miss the 60's & 70's when you felt like a guest on the plane not cattle like today

More than likely it was a diversion from ORD.
Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.

Speaking of UA at MKE, has it been decided which concourse the combined carrier will operate from?
Will you watch the Cleveland Browns and the Detroit Lions on Sunday? Only if coach Eric Mangini resigned after a loss.

Quoting BoeingGuy (Reply 6): As an interesting note, I remember when UA had a 727 on SFO-MKE in the 1970s.
Heck, I remeber when MKE-PIT was a 72S on UA back in the seventies as well. How times change.

They have had one there for quite some time to support Midwest and AirTran flying.

Quoting splitterz (Reply 4): DEN-MKE and ORD-MKE routes are all pro-rate skywest routes. Perhaps it was in for maintenance?

Mark in MKE
SkyWest has had a mx base in MKE since 2007 when the Midwest Connect flying started and continues to support the UAX, DLC, COEX, and code share with Air Tran flying. A diversion is very possible, but I've seen a lot of Republic/Shuttle airplanes that have paint jobs for one code share, minus any titles, as if it's being used for all the code shares or possibly getting ready to go to paint.

Must have been UA #3448 BOS-ORD operated by Shuttle America. Looks like it diverted into MKE Sunday night.

I saw it taxi into the international arrivals terminal area, then make a u-turn back out to the taxiways but stop on the tarmac near the international terminal. About five minutes later, there were a few emergency vehicles around it.
Weird thing is this isn't the first time I've seen a United Express E-170 operated by Republic on the ground at MKE so I thought it might be some weekend reduced frequency, increased capacity fleet management strategy for weekends.

It was a diversion, ORD was shut down for a short time due to weather.
