I'll be flying on a UA 744 coming up in a couple weeks. I bought my ticket online, and they did not assign me a seat. Apparently, the airport holds a certain amount of seats that they give out the day of departure. Anyways, I'll be video taping this flight and I want to know if sitting forward of the wing by the engines is good, or sitting in back of the wing by the flaps. Which would be better? Thanks

Well it depends on what you want to see. Forward of the engines you get to see the fan blades turning, and a bit of the scenery to the front of you on your trip.
However behind the engines, you get to see overall more scenery out your window relative to the direction you're going. I.E., you see what's coming vs what you left behind.
Me, I have ALWAYS sat behind the engines so in front would be a nice change!
