Im thinking of heading to MCI tonight to see the Royals home from Chicago. I can find their flight on flightaware but I have a question regarding their gate. I believe they fly Delta which would be terminal B, however ive noticed the Chiefs use the vacant gates at C even though they fly delta as well. I am just wondering if anyone knows which terminal.

Thanks,

Mike

Royals are on Continental, flight number 1905, 738.

The Royals (and most other baseball teams) always fly into MKC.

Thanks for the response 767. I would imagine that there is little to no access to see the team at one of the FBO's downtown?

Depends on whether or not the bus drives directly onto the Tarmac or not. The times where the bus didn't drive onto the Tarmac the players would typically board on the east side of the airport in between VML and Executive Beechcraft. This is based on my experience while riding m bike around the airport and witnessing this a few times.

You can get ok aceess at the Airline History Museum, not sure if they are open on a Sunday.

Not sure what runway will be in use with the light winds, but I would try the road the wraps around the west side of the field, on the southwest corner there I believe there was an area to pull off.

Even if they flew into MCI I bet they ride the bus onto the ramp and never go through the terminal. When I worked in BOS all the teams did it that way.

Most of the NFL teams I have worked here actually do use the boarding bridge

I saw a 738 and a 757 depart from MKC last night. I am guessing these planes were for the Royals and the Yankees.
