For some time now I read several times now that Air Europe is getting rid of their B777-200 duo later this year. Is there a certain date? I plan to go to Italy in Oktober and thought of taking photographs of them before they leave to, yes, to where? Marana? Don´t think so.

I don't think Air Europe will get rid of its 777s anytime soon.
As you might know Air Europe is partially owned through the Volare Group by Swissair, which is in serious financial troubles and is slowly retiting from its foreign investments.
Volare Group is a well established Company in Italy and its two airlines, Volare and Air Europe, now are the second largest Italian aviation group with a fleet of 17/18 A320, 7 B767-300ER and 2 B777-200ER. I am sure that they will go on with or without the support of Swissair.

I'm sure you can see Air Europe B777 in October and if you want see them just go to Milan Malpensa terminal 2.
They usually fly from there to Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guadalupa, Mauritius and Maldiven Islands.
Also this summer fly for some Japanese tour-operator to the main city of Japon.
The Air Europe (PE) B777/200er are configurated with 42 comfort class seats and 297 economy seat.
The best day to see them is Sunday cause they go back in the morning from a long-haul destination, than go to Sharm el Sheik (Egypt) and go back in the evening and than re-depaurte to a new long-haul destination.
I'm not sure this October if they keep the same scheduled or change something.
But you can also check the Air Europe scheduled on the http://www.sea-aeroportimilano.it
than choose your language and go to see the weekly Air Europe flights out of MXP.
Than you can go in the Milan season timetable and check for every destinations the kind of plane they will use.

I read that the A332s were to replace the 763s so the 777s may stay. Also SR is to sell off the Volare group if they haven't done so already and so maybe the A332 deal is off. Any info if Air Europe is still getting the A332s ? The777Man
Need a Boeing 777 Firing Order....Further to fly....LX and LH 777s
