757-200 Still Active With Saudi Arabian Airlines?

Hey guys,

checking my itenary I realized that I am booked on a Saudi Arabian flight which is done by a Boeing 757-200 mixed config.

Anyhow, when checking airfleets.net and planespotters.net, all Saudi 757s are being shown as stored or active with other operators.

The flights I am booked on are from Riyadh to Tabuk and vv., flight numbers are SV1527 and SV1540.

Anyone here knowing which 757s are still flying with Saudi, or which planes are maybe operating this route for Saudi Arabian Airlines?

A list of all those 757s including their regs would be GREAT!

Thanks everyone for your help in advance!

best regards

Alex

I believe TC-OGS & TC-OGT are again on lease to Saudi Arabian Airlines, not sure if any others are.

No disrespect to Atlasjet, but if I were in your position I would look into changing my booking to a flight on SV metal if at all possible.

SV operates their own A320's from RUH to TUU on We/Fr/Sa so that should be possible, KK operates 757's for SV to TUU twice daily. Personally I would prefer the 757.

So it means this flight is done by Atlasjet? Are the 757s not painted into Saudi Arabian livery and flying with Saudi Arabian crews?

What is the problem with flying on Atlasjet?

best regards

Speaking purely from the business-side of the equation, Atlasjet is one of the most prolific "lease from us!" ACMI charters in eastern Europe. When I was working in CASL, Atlasjet was one of our most reliable go-to sources for A320 wet and ACMI leases, despite the quality of their product offering. They were relatively fair in terms of hourly cost, and almost always had an available aircraft.

Hi Alex,

Yes, the flight will be operated with Atlasjet crew. As for livery, it'll definitely have SV titles, but I'm not sure if it is painted in full livery.

On a side note...although configured as a medical ship, HZ-HMED is a 757 painted in standard Saudi Arabian Airlines colors. It was still active as of last year, does anyone know if it's still with them?

Are there some informations to the pax, that the SV 757s were operated by KK?

There was nothing special announced...

Without the info here in the forum, I would not have realized the 757s are leased from AtlasJet or operated by other crew...
