Last time I wrote my opinion about AF, I got almost the whole forum against me and therefore i won't say what I think about that airline but its not very good thoughts.

What's so bad about it ? Of course it's bad for you now, but hey just because they cancelled a single flight ????????
C'mon, you probably don't even know the reason why they did so.
A flight gets cancelled for some reasons every once in a while.

Ironman, why is this ridiculous ??
First of all AF has to find an aircraft that they can use for all the PAX and second they have to fly it probably from CDG to RUH which takes quite a while.
Maybe the plane they wanna use to transfer to RUH is not even in CDG yet.

Well, 737, it's Ironminds, not Ironman, but I'll take it as a complement.
Anyway, here's why it's ridiculous: the man is stuck now in the Riyadh airport without so much as a cocktail lounge for 18 hours, probably hasn't been told the reason for the delay (don't tell me it's because the crew was spending extra time at the hotel bathing!), and it sounds like they're not doing anything to put people on other carriers or anything. I'd be pretty bent out of shape about this state of affairs, too!

Skyteam,
Working hard to piss off the customers.
Delta and Air France Quality from the ground down
Because our customers asked us to improve service by treating them like crap
Yup typical Skyteam. Your lucky it is only 18 Hours!

Quite alright, 737, doesn't bother me.
All I'm saying is that they oculd be doing a lot more to provide info, etc, and being trapped in Riyadh on your way to Paris is a lot worse than the other way around!

Every airlines sometimes cancels flights... It's a part of the buisness, even if it's unbearable for the passengers.
It's not a question of flying with a "froggy" airline or not

Airlines sometimes have to cancel flights. As was said earlier, it is part of the business. Unfortunately, Air France flies into Riyadh only 3 days of the week, and this is heavy travel season out of RUH, so all the flights are busy. They'll get you where you are going. I know it sucks now, but life will go on...

For &^%$# sake! I would hate to see some of your reactions if something really bad happened to you in this life. From some of the responses I would assume you would rather the airline, whoever it may be fly the aircraft with a technical fault. People are not sitting around at AF ops thinking oh goody lets see which one we can cancel to piss off the pax. If is done for a good reason, the most important of which is pax safety.

At least you heard of it before the planned departure time...
I spent a night in the departure are on LHR once waiting for a KLM flight that was cancelled. KLM told us that 3 hours after it was planned to fly.
We arrived 12 hours late on a 1 hour flight...
I wish I were flying
25 Alpha 1: All these responses, over one cancelled flight?? You've got to be kidding? Good grief!!
26 Joona: Alpha 1, precisely. Flights are cancelled all over the world every single day. What's the big deal? Joona
27 Joona: Forgot to add, I bet the original poster does not like Air France and is just trying to make it look bad. Joona
