Excellent news, finally BMI back at EMA

3 flights a day as well - great for onward connections to the LH network (I wonder whose idea it was  )

Good that EMA is getting good connections into the networks to one of the major European hubs.

I suppose the opening of FRA's 4th runway has freed up capacity for new routes like this one.

DIdn't BD try this route years ago? Albeit back then though they weren't owned by LH.

There is also a large Indian/Asian community in the Midlands which would benefit from EMA-FRA-Asia routes, You usually see a lot of Indian and Asian customers using LH/BD BHX-FRA service.

Good luck to BD, over the past year we have seen them focus on more regional business than it's LHR base

Have they mentioned when they plan to end it or will we just see it disappear off the timetable about this time next year?

BD and their routes are like some guys and their girls.

and with that..cabin crew, seats for landing please.

Yes, they used to fly the route with DC-9s in the earlier/mid-90s. Diamond Service.

I've had a quick look on the LH website and there's no evidence to suggest they have - but I can't imagine for a second that they won't codeshare on this route.

Good news for my local airport   Does this mean we get another a/c based here? Although after taking nearly 40 minutes to get through security last week, something needs to be done to improve things. The queue was right back to check in

Why not pay for the fast track (£3)? When I flew EMA-JER a couple weeks ago, the normal queue for security was long, but I got through within a couple minutes. For that, £3 was worthwhile.

It was similar when I flew out of there last October. However, it'll never be as bad as waiting over 90 mins at BHX for security.
