This morning in the Atlanta paper it was announced Delta will be retiring 10 737 in the near future on top of the 7 727 previously announced. I think this was part of the earnings web cast.

Does anyone know which ones? I know two, the Twisted Sisters, have leases that expire in Sept and they must be included in this list.

Mainline DL has only 14 732s, 2 of which are, indeed, leased. N369DL, N367DL - models B737-2S3(A) , 1979 build.

With the exception of the B737-2J8(A)-model N235WA
all others are models B737-247(A) (that is, ordered by Western Airlines):
The following are, too, models B737-247(A) but were delivered after the merger:

All these are fairly new planes, (considering the model), built 1987. Whether these are the ones to be removed from the mainline fleet, I have no idea.
