Sky News reporting a YAK42 has crashed on take off in Russia and that 36 people are dead. No more news yet.

The plane was carrying Russia's Lokomotiv Ice Hockey team. Reportedly the Yak-42 banked to the left side right after rotating and plunged 500 metres off the runway... The airport is IAR.

First the NHL loses 3 players to OD and suicides and now this. This has been possibly the worst offseason ever for the sport of hockey.
My thoughts go out to all of the victims family. This is just too unbelievable.
