Hey,

I just checked the flight scheduales to Port Of Spain for November and I was really dissapointed. I am going to POS in November. Its flight 2479 which means that it is operated by Royal Airlines and its gonna be the A310. I thought the would of continued to put the A330 on the route but I guess not. Anyone that works for Canada 3000 here in this forum, can you check what aircraft will be on this route during November. I really hope its the A330, but if it isnt, then I might go with Skyservice.
The flight is from Toronto to Port Of Spain.

Thanks and Best Regards,

BWIA330

Now that these scheduales are out, Rootsboy, can you check the SSV flight for me please.

Whats wrong with the 310?? You will get a few inches more leg room, and much better service from the staff...But the way things are going right now it is up in the air because two of the 310's may go back to their owners, as the lease is up at the end of july. If that happens you may be on a 757, 330, or 319.

Oh really. I still have a feeling its the A310 because its a 2000 number. I hope its the A330 because I really like the A330 and I have flown on it twice.

Slawko, I hate to admit it, but the A330 has more legroom than the A310, and also, there are 8 seats across in the A330, and 9 across in the A310, so you'll definitely be more comfortable in the A330. However, it's not that long a flight, and unless you're really tall, it wont be a major issue, as the A310 is still much more comfortable that an A320 or the B757.

I e-mailed Canada 3000 and Monday they are getting back to me about the flights to Port Of Spain for November. They are also letting me know what aircraft it is. I really hope its the A330 still.

But if the flight number is 2479 isnt that operated by a Royal Airlines aircraft or it doesnt matter?

Yes, if the flight number is a 2XXX then yes, it will be operated by Royal Airlines.

I think the 340 will be doing a once weekly flight to POS. I can't remember right now if it was POS for sure, but I know it will be going down south once a week, on the weekend, and there have been AC swaps in the past where C3 or Cj would operate a 2000 flight number, or Royal would operate a 7000 or three digit flight number, so you may just get lucky.

Actually let me correct myself, my last post could be made to sound like I am saying that all C3 people are not good, and that would be wrong. What I do mean to say is that the training that went on at ROYAL is different then that of C3 so the employees, even though they are running the C3 program on their flights, do not do it exactly like the C3 or Cj people. The trick will be bringing the three service standards together and using only what works well.

Hey Slawko,

If it is the A340 that would be awesome. I really hope it is. I have a feeling its the A340 because the flights to POS are always full. Ill have to wait and see Tomorrow when the lady from Canada 3000 Tickets e-mail's back with the information and what aircraft will be flying. I will let you know what aircraft it is.

Slawko,

One other thing. How many A340's is Canada 3000 planning to get and when are they taking delivery of them?

Just one for now, S/N395 I think. It was meant for Sabena, but was never taken up, so it';s still sitting in France. Airbus is modifying it right now for the C3 specs, but it will have executive class seats (36 I think.) These are not Club C3 seats like the other planes in the fleet. They are executive class seats with all the toys that sabena puts into them. Also the economy section will have PTV's. The airplane arrives Sept 19th and will be put on the Trans-Atlantic run for the pilots line indoc, and then in mid october it will be put on YYZ-DEL-YVR-DEL-YYZ-DEL-YYZ-down south, I think POS, and then back on the india run durring the week.

That sounds great. They really are gonna have PTV's? Thats just awesome. IS C3 planning on putting PTV's on the A330's also? I heard that C3 is getting 767's to replace the A310's. Is that true? The POS flights are on a Tuesday starting November. I really hope the A340 is flying that time.

No official word on the 767's yet, but maybe by the end of this or next week. Would be nice to have a bit more metal in around the plastic fleet.

Yeah it would be nice to see C3 colors on a 767. Would it be the 200 or 300 or even the 400? Keep us informed

Sounds good. I heard this 767 thing is only temporary as C3 is aiming for an all airbus fleet.

Why would they buy/lease brand new airplanes if they did not want to keep them for a while. THe fact is that airbus has no plane that can compete in the same class as the 767-300ER, if they did then C3 would be buying/leasing that and not the 763. The planes will be on a 5 year lease at least if not a 10 year one. 2 A310's have their leases up at the end of the month, and there is some complications with renegotiating them so there should be an answer to the 767 question by the end of the week.

Hey u guys are lucky you get to talk about going on A330 and even A340's. i am in Grenada and Skyservice and Canada 3000/Royal all use A320 on most flights. Sometimes the A310 does the Royal routes, before it used to be the 757. Once i saw the Skyservice A330 on the ground, i nearly fainted. lol And the day i chose to travel charter to Toronto i went to ATA and had such a horrible experience a 13 hour delayed flight up and a 6 hour flight delay down, with a stop in Ny to replace a messed up plane  Smile

Enjoy your flights.. i hear Skyservice and Canada 3000 are great..  Smile

There is something special about planes....

Hey Captaink,

Yeah Skyservice flew the A330-300 from YYZ-POS-GND-YYZ last year. Must of been great to see it at GND. I just hope that the A330 or A340 is in operation to POS for November. Slawko, I e-mailed someone that claimed that they work for C3, they said the A340 flight down south is not to Port Of Spain, its to Punta Cana International Dominican Republic. Can you verify that.

It is very interesting to hear about all these new planes being flown down here to POS. All the same, I do not see the logic in sending an A340 here in October or November as these are slow periods in the Trinidad market. The peak times are Christmas, Carnival in February and summer (right now!).

I have seen the SSV A330 and Canada 3000 330 here in POS.

Trintocan.

Hop to it, fly for life!

Hey Slawko,

Aww I really wanted to fly on it. OH well. But why are they flying the A340 to Punta Cana in November? That isnt the busy season in the Dominican Republic. And for christmas the flight number is a 2000 series so that means that it is a Royal Airlines aircraft flying there in December. Well Im hoping for the A330 to still be on the POS route for November. The travel agent e-mailed and said that they have not entered the fares in the system as yet and in August I would know. If its 2479 I doubt its the A330. Slawko, are they using the A330 to Mumbai and the A340 to Dehli?

BWIA330

Just DEL for now, BOM will come later, either 330 or another 340.

Actually there is probably a lot of traffic down to the DR and other islands starting in and around November. A lot of people begin their vacations early. Also by November/December the two O/C's should be merged and so it could be a C3 airplane even if it is a 2000 flight number.

Hey Slawko,

What do you mean by the two O/C's? I still have a feeling that the A330 will be doing POS. Last year they did POS all the way through with the A330. I checked the flight scheduales for BOM and the flight is stopping on LGW. So Im guessing thats the A330.

25 Slawko : O/C's Operators Certificates. The two of them have not been merged yet, and wont be till november, that is what it really becomes one airline.
26 BWIA330 : Oh I C. I never knew that. I learned something new. So your saying Royal and C3 and Canjet are not one as yet that is why they have different flight c
