Back in the 1990's, I remember watching "21st Century Jet", a documentary charting the development and launch of the 777. So I was wondering can we expect something similar now that the 787 has finally been delivered? Does anyone know if a team from Discovery have been shadowing Boeing's every move since the 7E7 was dreamt up? Would be a fascinating watch, given the birthing pains of this big jet...

Discovery has been around. There's also all the footage they shot to support the Legends of Flight IMAX movie, which goes back a loooong time.

It took so long that it will be a year-long documentary.

I am really looking forward to this. The advertisement sports some amazing air to air shots of the new bird. I will be utliyzing the trusty TIVO as I will be at work when it airs.

Hmm... I think that I'll have to wait for the DVD/BR release. :/
