Southwest is having a ONE LUV party in ATL on Wednesday, October 5th. It's a party celebrating the joining of our Southwest and AirTran families. We've been told that the evening is going to be "topped off by a special surprise you won’t want to miss!" My guess is a new specialty plane. My first guess would be a Colorado One, but they might keep with the theme of the party and have some sort of ONE LUV specialty plane.
Anybody else have any other ideas or heard any inside info about it?

I see that on SEP 27 we got a new delivery, N966WN. Then, on OCT 7 we get N967WN. If the party is OCT 5, then I would suspect that N966WN would be the plane to watch out for.

Also, the party is not at ATL or in a hangar. It's near Downtown, or somewhere around there. If it is a special plane, then I wonder how it would be presented. Usually, specialty planes are unvieled with a flyby or a hangar party.

N966WN is out flying the line, N967WN is still at PAE along with I presume N968WN, yet to see a pic of 968 however.

Sure would be neat to see a homage to AirTran with a split livery, but that would be very un-SWA.. perhaps we'll see an Georgia One.

And once again, they'll skip making Oklahoma One or Louisiana One.
I fail to understand why they skip over the first two states they expanded to out of Texas...who 30 years later still remain loyal to them (look at the market shares at OKC, MSY and TUL).

Because the markets will continue to show blind loyalty, at higher fares, without the need to be pandered to by WN. It is what it is though. Someday we may see the light/powder/baby blue on the 737.

The party has come and gone. No announcement on anything. No surprise either.

The surprise was the laser show cast onto Stone Mountain at the end of the party.
