Hi Folks,
Just wondering how much of the existing VA fleet has been repainted and fitted with new interior. Has any -700s been done yet? I was quite surprised to see 3 738s at OOL the other day in the new livery.

G'day N88KB
Go to www.thevasource.com - they have a box on the left hand side of the home page which lists everything in the Virgin Australia livery.
Two E190s (ZPR and ZPT) were in the fleet pre-rebrand and have been painted. As for the 738s I can't remember which were around pre-rebrand but there are now 6 in Virgin Aust colours, plus the 2 A330. No 737-700 yet.

I don't think any of those aircraft ever saw service in the Virgin Blue livery. The list also doesn't have the ATRs included?
Quoting gytr31 (Reply 2): There has been a steady flow of VA aircraft through CHC over the last few months getting checks and repaints, currently about three there i believe
Although it sounds like some conversions might be underway...

My memory is that YFC & possibly YFE were delivered before the rebrand in all-white... whether they were in service or not I'm not sure. The ATRs are listed now on VA Source.
Another forum has been discussing the work going on at CHC... so far it's only been to install the new bits & pieces in the cabin & no repaints of the pre-rebrand fleet. That forum says that VUY is one of the aircraft in CHC right now & may be having its AFL scheme replaced with the VA scheme (unconfirmed).
Incidentally that forum, yssyforum.net/board is a good place to ask about upcoming flights/regos

Quoting propilotjw (Reply 6): When will the V Australia 777"s be rebranded?
They said by the end of this year they would be at one brand, but since it seems more realistically like it'll be Q1 2012. The problem with having such a small fleet is that taking planes out primarily for painting isn't an option, so they'll have to wait for scheduled maintenance work or something like that...

My understanding is the aim was to bring all brands under the VA brand by the end of the year for marketing and legal purposes. I don't think they intended to have the whole fleet repainted by the end of the year.
Can anyone from VA give us an update if that's still on track?
But is there some sort of website that I can use to find out which aircraft I will be flying on my upcoming flights on VA?
VA787
Do you mean aircraft type or the actual aircraft rego? If you just need to know the type - you can find that on the VA website....... Bookings > Timetables.

Yeah... I have looked at the timetable and it doesn't look right. Errr! Most aircraft between SYD and BNE and MEL are B737-800s with winglets and some are 737-700s (it depends on the number of pax).
