Just a quick question on the progress of the TG 744 fleet upgrade. I understand that the 744s flying on long haul routes will have fully retrofitted Y cabins by December but does anyone know when the premium cabins will have their upgrades completed too?
I used to think the brain is the most fascinating part of my body. But, hey, who is telling me that?

Out of 18 Boeing 747-400s that TG has, 6 of them will be retired, 6 will be refitted with new Y class only and 6 will undergo full 3 class retrofit (These last 6 are the newest ones that still have the old F/J).
Of the 6 that will be fitted with new Y class only, I believe 2-3 have been completed.
They have not yet introduced new F and J, this should be done next year with the introduction of A380 & 77W.

HS-TGF & HS-TGG are 747s with the old first and business class products (as well as TGA, TGB, TGY and TGZ).
These aircraft are feared by TG premium pax on most routes like LHR and FRA! Aircraft subs are quite rare on those 2 routes these days but occasionally they do pop up on other routes which are supposed to have the better cabins...expect to see a whinge on Flyertalk when that happens!
However TG operates these aircraft to CPH, ARN selling the old F cabin as J and the old J cabin as premium economy. I guess they'd try and avoid aircraft subs on the route as the cabin config is different e.g. 10F on LHR, FRA schedules planes, 14F (sold as J) on CPH.
