Noooooooooo!! Not a Sunday, ANYTHING but a Sunday! That is the only day I get off between my two jobs and I just cannot schlep all the way to JFK on my day off.

I am curious to see how the "historic preservation" is going. Any a.net folks going to be there? WE NEED PICS!!!

I plan to be there...and I imagine I'll take a photo or two.

Really looking forward to this - was in that building many times as a kid (Dad retired from TWA 20 years ago).

Maybe this will spawn a TV series TWA to compete with Pan Am.

One can only dream that that will happen, and one can only dream even further than the TV show will be worth watching.

Better yet if they could roll out a show called Golden or Silver Falcon Eastern Airlines had a colorful controversial past almost as rich as Pan Am. Imagine, Eddie Rickenbacker's stubborness on entering the jetage, strikes, hijack me to Cuba, the Ghost of 401, Frank Lorenzo CEO from hell etc. And of course you could throw in plotlines with hottie stewardesses from back in the day.

Great time there today! Did anybody catch the name or story of the TWA captain there? He looked so sharp in his uniform! Also great to see so many former TW employees.

No, they didn't allow photos...

Actually, I have several hundred shots, I'm just starting to edit them, will post a few and a link to more when I'm done.

They had a big crowd there today - a mix of old TWA folks, aviation enthusiasts, architecture buffs, and just plain (or plane) curious people. It looked great inside, brought back many memories.

Yes, I had a great time, too. I joked they should have just advertised it as Pride Fest 2   But I behaved and didn't try to snag anyone's number ,haha

But it was nice to go inside for sure. It was nice to see a great appreciative crowd make the trip and effort to go out there. Lots of people with cameras at the Jamaica Station headed out on the AirTrain. It seems lots of people made the effort to come from all over - I met one couple who took the train down for the day from Boston to go inside. Way neat.

Thank you! The photographer in me was saying "How do I get a good shot with all these people in the way..." and the "TWA Brat" in me was saying "It's great to see so many people back in this building!" I could just imagine they were all on their way to board those big red and white jets parked right outside...

I was wondering what the data set was... very few B6 flights and none at all from terminals 1 or 8.
