Good news... Another 777-300ER operator!

Kenya Airlines will lease these two A/C from GECAS starting in 2013. 400 seats... I guess that will be 2-class?

"The new planes will be configured with about 400 seats and used on service to Amsterdam, Bangkok, Guangzhou and Dubai. They will also carry over 12 metric tons of cargo. Both jets will be staffed by Kenya Airways crews, who can move from the carrier’s four existing 777-200ERs without additional certifications."

Kenya Airways only has 2 classes now, so that would seem likely. Unless they add an economy plus product of course, but I haven't seen anything to that effect.

Why do Aerospace Engineering students have to turn things in on time?

Will they configure these planes in the dreaded 10 abreast arrangement?

I have another question about leasing. When a leased aircraft is returned to the lessor and another airline leases it, does the lessor strip out the interior and fit it out with the new airline's interior? That would get kind of expensive I would think.

I think it will still be 9 abreast, if the current 772s are 9 abreast (although I know that theory doesn't work - as with KL/AF.

Incidentally, will KQ's 787s be 8 or 9 abreast?
