Would or could the 727s be modified to operate as a 2 main crew instead of 3?

I have only limited Internet access and I could not check all of them but at least one ex-PA A310 is still flying for FX.

There is at least one EA DC9-50 at DL still. N401EA. She had an in-flight engine fire/in-flight engine shutdown on me back in Jan.

I got a nice shot of a Capitol Cargo 727 that still had an -EA suffix in ROC last month.

At least one PA A310 is flying with FedEx, but some additional ones are stored (probably not going to return to service, but you never know).

Pan-Am's SP's have largely gone on to long lives as VIP aircraft. Of the eleven SP's, ten SP-21's and one Ex-Braniff SP-27, four are still flying - one each for Qatar Amiri Flight, Las Vegas Sands, Frys Electronics, and Nasa.

Of Pan-Am's 747-200s, two are now flying with Kalitta (who bought them from JAL), four are with Evergreen - though it isn't clear "how" active those are.

Two PA 727-200s, both ex-Ozark, are with FedEx and listed as active.

Two of Pan Am II's 737-400's are still active.

A single ex-Pan Am 737-200 survives as the testbed for IAI Elta electronics.

Two ex-National Pan Am DC-10-10s are still flying for FedEx. One more is at 10Tanker.

Several Pan Am A300's are still active as freighters - one is active with MNG Cargo, five with DHL/Air Contractors, three with AeroUnion, one with Tradewinds, one with ACT Cargo, and one with Master Top.

One Pan-Am A300 survives as a passenger plane with Mahan airlines.

Of Eastern's Aircraft, at least one 757 is still active for something other than cargo - with Honeywell. One more was just recently converted to a freighter for DHL. Many of Eastern's 757s were very early builds and are now the oldest and least desirable 757s. US was still operating some EA aircraft until recently but they look to be stored now.

At least eight EA 727-200s are still with FedEx and active. At least one EA 727-100 is active as a VIP plane.

N401EA, N670MC, N675MC, N676MC, and N677MC, all DC-9-50s, are still active at Delta. The first was with Eastern for a long time, the last four were added in 1987.

I saw N401EA several days ago at SDF, which somebody already mentioned is an ex-Eastern DC-9-50. I believe this is one of only 5 or so Eastern aircraft left carrying passengers, all of which I believe are some the remaining NW/Delta DC-9's (the rest are mostly North Central aircraft & maybe a few ex-Allegheny). Unfortunately these too will all be gone in about a year.
