WOW, what a picture!

On a funny side, I also "enjoyed" the text under the picture: "PEPRET: Kjempehaglene slo hull i nesedekselet på SAS-maskinen «Jarl Viking», som likevel landet trygt i Helsinki."

Hmmm  Confused Wink/being sarcastic

Holy cr&%!!!

I once was in the cockpit of an A330 when we were descending through a monsoon rainstorm, and I was amazed at the noise made by the rain hitting the cockpit windows. The noise in the cockpit on this flight must have been absolutely deafening!

I'll guess the captain will remember to switch the wheather radar on next time....she (yes it was a "she") didn't find it neccesary this time.

Thankfully, the picture speaks for itself!
And the article is very explanatory indeed. I hope you guys in Finnland understand it.  Laugh out loud
I know it happened once to TAP, in a B727 and the cockpit glass broke. They managed to land without problem, but I wouldn't like to be the pilot...

The aircraft involved in this incident was an MD-81, LN-RMT (53001/1815 del 24JAN91).

VgnAtl747:
I'm not sure you'd understand much if you could read German since the article is written in Norwegian.

to VgnAtl747...the link took you to a Norwegian newspaper...and the text was in Norwegian...but German is good to know as well. Unfortuantely German would not help you reading Norwegian.....try Swedish or Danish, that might would have given you some help
