Troubled AirBaltic Signs Ex-Malev Chief As CEO

The troubled Latvian national carrier airBaltic Friday signed former Malev Hungarian Airlines chief Martin Gauss to a one-year contract as its new CEO at a salary equivalent to about USD 32,000 per month, the airline announced. Gauss replaces Bertold Flick who was forced to step down because of airBaltic's bleeding financial situation.
