I know the 707s did. When did they start SYD-DPS-HKG?

1970. I'll see if I can find any 747s.

PA dropped Bali around 1976; I didn't find any 747s, but I have no TTs between 2/71 and 10/73.

I have an April 1976 schedule and DPS was still there, to both HKG and SYD; 707s of course. I have some schedules between 1971 and 1975 which I'll look up....

Looked at my 1972 and 1974 schedules, and it was always a 707 between DPS and HKG/SYD. A

Amazing how many "crazy" flights (in today's context) Pan Am had back then. For example, that DPS flight originated in LAX and terminated in HKG (effectively a 4-stop flight from LAX to HKG via HNL, Noumea or Nadi (depending on day of week), SYD, DPS or Djarkarta (depending on day of week) and then finally on to HKG.)

I would have ZERO problems with 4 take offs and landings across the Pacific on a PanAm 707 in First Class. Nor would I have a problem with 40 either

The world is missing love, let's use our flights to spread it!

But remember that F class seats on 707s then were the same type of seats you now find on US domestic flights with about 40 inch pitch. No flat beds and not even any leg/foot rests.
