Delta is receiving another 6 777's, correct? When is the first delivery? Are there any rumors about upcoming 777 orders? How many 764's does it have? When was the most recent delivery and what is the registration on that aicraft? How many more 764's will be delivered and when is the next delivery? Thanks for the help.

FLAIRPORT,
they dont! The only way DL will even consider putting PTVs in on the 764 is if they run it on international flights. I doubt that will happen anytime soon

Hate to burst your bubble there chief, but Delta's 767-400s already have PTVs. They are just not wired, and they are currently covered. I didn't belive it until I was shown
As for the 777s, the first one and only one for the next while comes in in mid-Feb of 2002. Then I think about a year goes by with nothing.
There are more 777s and lots more 764s on the ordering table...we just have to wait until the economy gets its climb on to place the order.

Delta has the PTV controls already in the seats, and when they do the new seat enhancements (starting in november I believe) they will put the PTVs in. I'm not POSITIVE about this but I think it is correct...please correct me *politely if I'm wrong. Thanks.

Delta has 7 777 aircraft. 7008 will be delivered in March of '02, 7009 in March of '03, and 4 more in '03 as well.
The 764's do not have PTV's in E/C. They are not covered. They do however, have the PCU controls for them in E/C. They were delivered with the aircraft from the factory and are only being re-orientated through the E/C seat enhancement program, which for the 764 is complete! No PTV's were installed in the E/C enhancement mod.
The 764 F/C cabin DOES have operational PTV's on all 36 seats. They were originally delivered with the aircraft as well. ILUV767 is correct, no PTV's will be installed in E/C while the plane is flown domestically, and there are NO plans to place the plane into international service. That would require a BusinessElite mod.
Delta currently has 16 764's with 1817 & 1818 slated for November deliveries, and one each in January, March, and April of 2002. That will complete the firm commitment of 21 aircraft.
I do not have information on the registration numbers off hand sorry.
