Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

2 out of 3 planes returned to lessor. (forced) And strong rumors at AMS that they went belly up. Has anyone some more info?

No suggestion on airfleets or the linked airline site.

They were in Dublin just a few days ago operating a charter to Kristiansand.

Hope all is OK there!

Sounds like it could be true.

PH-AAX ret to ILFC, stored IST 21 September 2011
PH-AAZ ret to GECAS, stored WOE 28 October 2011
PH-AAY was active today, presumably now stored at AMS

Doesn't mean much with their inaccuracies.

Indeed, with immediate effect this airline ceased operations.

I feel happy to have flown this 'somewhat special' airline last year. When interested, see my tripreport here: Amsterdam Airlines – The New Wings From Holland (by airbuseric Jul 8 2010 in Trip Reports)

In only a couple of days AMS has lost several airlines:

-Amsterdam Airlines, went bust today
-Martinair, ended all passengers flights this weekend

-Armavia, ended EVN-AMS yesterday
-B&H Airlines, ended SJJ-AMS last week
-Cimber Sterling, ended CPH-AMS this weekend

-Air Berlin, will end PMI-AMS next weekend

So, who's next? Cyprus Airways maybe?

Amsterdam Airlines was the backbone for Dutch tour-operator ml Tours, to overcome the grounding STRATEGIC AIRLINES Luxembourg will take over all operations.

One has to remember that most if not all the fleet sites are run more as societies than companies. It means that they are updated when the people in charge find the time to get the information and to update their site.
So not everything on the net is correct, and certainly not just because it's on the net.

bmibaby737, thanks for the info by the way.
