BOSTON, Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- In a move that will improve service for air travelers in Boston and the Northeast, Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL - news) will redevelop Terminal A at Boston's Logan International Airport into a state-of- the-art, customer-friendly facility. Total cost of the project is $386 million, of which Delta will pay $335 million.
The world-class terminal will offer Boston travelers unsurpassed convenience and service and will consolidate all Delta's flight operations into one location at Logan. The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) and Delta have reached an agreement for the project.
``Redeveloping and modernizing Logan's 'front door' is a significant forward step for air travelers, for Boston and for Delta,'' said Leo F. Mullin, Delta's chairman, president and CEO. ``Replacing the dated facility and bringing all Delta's operations together into one modern terminal promises a new level of customer convenience, efficiency and time-saving services that today's air travelers expect and deserve.'' Delta is Boston's number one carrier, based on DOT statistics for passenger boardings.
Logan is the only airport in the world offering the full complement of Delta's brands: Delta, Delta Shuttle, Delta Express, Delta Connection carriers and its international codeshare partners. Currently, Delta's passengers board the Delta Shuttle in Terminal A and Delta, Delta Express, Delta Connection carriers and international flights in Terminal C.

Finally, we get rid of old out-of-place Terminal A and replace it with a new 21st Century Terminal. Also, can't wait until Delta adds their services to Paris, Rome, Manchester U.K., and Dublin. Great!!!!
