For you Hong Kongers out there it looks like the first KA 743F will arrive at CLK tonight. The flight is due in from Xiamen at 9.10pm.

Unless one of the 5Y 742F's have been in Xiamen this will be the first time a 747 has ever been seen in KA colours. OK they dont have much colour but its still a first never the less.

Can we hope for a revised scheme ?????, or just large CARGO titles ??

Lets see.

Great news. But how is the paintsheme? All white with stickers?

I remeber that I have seen an Atlas 747F in HKG last novmeber, wearing KA-stickers. But only small ones...

Looking forward to see the first pictures of this new bird.

This SHOULD be the first of their own two 743F's, it will be in KA colours.

dear Hkgspotter1: -

Would it retain the 3 man cocpit for the time being, couple of weeks ago, I read it in Flight International that KA would like to change it to 2 man cockpit. is that legal to go to the rocks outside Haeco? since in 1999, I have been kicked off the bus just outside the restricted area.

Regards
kev

Kev,

If your talking about the S52 then you can sit anywhere on the rocks. Yes this is airport property but now they dont do anything if you sit on the rocks. On a normal weekend you can find at least 300 - 400 fishermen on the rocks (total seawall).

When the airport first opened they did not allow you to sit around the seawall, for no reason but that was the way it was.

I heard that the KA 743F's are semi glass cockpit, they still have a three man crew.
