The 17 airline member Air Transport Association has come out against the US Export-Import Bank’s $3.4Bil loan guarantees for Boeing aircraft purchases by Air India.
The ATA claims that Exim incorrectly approved the loan guarantees against established policy that should have disqualified Air India due to its large financial losses and ongoing problems noted in a US audit.

Well, shouldn't the ATA also then try to the block the financing of AA's huge order...I know Air India is in worse shape but AA is in dire condition right now...

Exim = US government money
AA = is leasing planes. Manufacturers are financing the aircraft themselves.
