I see from the photo database that several CRJs have been repainted. What's the total so far? When will the Jazz liveries disappear? Thanks.

Technically the Jazz livery wont disappear. The charter aircraft will remain in the Jazz colours while the rest of the aircraft will go to the toothpaste scheme. I can't see that process being finished anytime soon. Air Canada and Jazz agreed to switch over the planes as they go in for regular paining (not an accelerated program) so it will still be a couple years before they're all painted in toothpaste.

Are they painting any CRJ-100's or are only the 200's being painted? On a related question, are the CRJ-100's all being replaced by the Q-400 aircraft?

I was under the impression it was the CRJ200s that were being returned rather than the CRJ100s due to differences in lease payments. Hence it would be the 100s being repainted (first, anyway). ???

I also recall reading somewhere that the CRJ-200's will be removed first also. Since only 15 Q400's were ordered by Jazz and they still operate over 20 CRJ-200's, not all the -200's will likely be replaced by this Q400 order.
Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

Well on the subject of CRJs and Q4s... as we all know the Q4 is supposed to replace the RJ,,,but the Q4s are now starting to take over alot of Dash flying...YAM.YTS..YSB unless they are filling those aircraft, please oh please AC, remove them from those trips and send them south...who cares if Porter is flying there, put the best suited aircraft on the run based on what we are going to fill, not a Q4 just because the competition is doing it. If you really wanna take them on, do what we did with Jetsgo...they go to YTS with an MD80, we put on the RJ....Porter go there with a Q4, put on an RJ.
Now back to paint....new paint looks like dog doo on the RJs, looks better on the Dash classic and Q4.

Let me stick you on a Dash 8-100 to YTS sometime and you'll eat those words... 2 hours on a Dash isn't fun. An unlike those flights south there aren't alternatives...
Also Timmins is one of the few places in Ontario thats booming... they need those Q400s more than PVD or BWI.

Sorry, I thought I read somewhere that they were replacing all of the CRJ's with the Q400. My bad. It was wishful thinking to believe that AC would fly the Q400 instead of the CRJ's on all their routes.

Jazz currently operates 48 CRJ-100/200 and 7 Q400's with 8 remaining Q400's on order. So the CRJ fleet will be around for some time even if more Q400's are ordered.
