SIA 777-200ER - First Class?

Will the 777-200ERs that SIA is introducing be configured with three classes? If so, will the new First and Business Class products be used? For that matter, are any of the other 777s likely to get them? I still find it rather odd that they only have these on the 747s at the moment (and even then, there are some that AFAIK dont have the sky-suites - and what would you know, they usually fly to Auckland...)

Cheers

V/F

I just selected my seat for the inaugural flight of SQ 35 ORD-SIN. The configuration of the Raffles Class in the 777-200ER will be 5 rows of 2-2-2. Different from the configuration of the regular J and Y classes only 777-200.

VirginFlyer, SQ is about to start flying the 9V-SP- series into AKL instead of 9V-SMA-SMH, and AFAIK they all have the sky suites because they are newer.

Any word on the changeover dates from A340 to
B777-200ER for Christchurch, NZ.
Rumours are Oct 2002 with a 2 class only (E & J), can anybody confirm this?

Right now SQ already operate 2 class B772 into Perth. (30C and 293Y). I was on 9V-SRE 2 weeks ago. Previously they used 3 class B772.

It will be good when SQ starts flying there newer 744's into AKL regularly I get bored of seeing SMA to SMH al the time. I did get a glimpse of the new first class on a brand new 9V-SPN a couple of months back pretty impressive too! yesterday back to good old SMF.

I hope that they will use the B777-200ER on my flight to Copenhagen later this year.
