Sorry if this should have been discussed here recently, couldn't find any such topics.
Are there any plans about the future of the two airlines in post-revolution Libya? Any chance that the proposed merger is fulfilled? Of course, first question is: When will flight services resume? The companies itself, are they operational at all (that means, is there still anyone there running the business following the war)?

Quoting Tobias2702 (Thread starter): plans about the future of the two airlines in post-revolution Libya?
The latest I heard is that Afriqiyah is resuming operations on 1st December and that the plans to merge with Libyan Airlines are off at the moment. No idea however when Libyan Airlines is to re-start. With both companies being state-owned, Libya can either merge the two or sell one of them to the private sector of the economy.
