Early Air Malta Livery

After seeing a recent picture I was just wondering if anyone can shed any light as to how the original Air Malta livery looked a lot like the Dan Air colour scheme of the time!!!!

Was it simply a case of the aircraft were leased from Dan Air or something more?

PS....Tried uploading pictures but doesnt seem to be working so heres the next best thing!

That first photo was Air Malta livery with Dan Air titles. I believe this aircraft was leased to Air Malta but retained the livery after returning to Dan Air.

To answer your question simply, the original Air Malta livery was not derived from Dan Air.

P.S. The original Air Malta livery is still one of the best liveries of all time in my opinion
