Sitting here at SMF and noticed both a UPS 757 & A300 on the ramp in front of Terminal A. While a diversion for weather seems logical I couldn't imagine it being that much worse at Mather than SMF. Especially since the visibility this morning has been less than 1/8 mile at SMF. Also, looks like there are ground ops in motion with the side cargo doors open. UPS 956 & 960 are the flights that arrived early this morning.

Quoting tridum (Reply 2): This time of year, you will see a lot of different UPS planes at different gateways because of fly through flights due to the Holiday season.
Not in this case, it was a weather diversion.
What is it with all the "is there a possibilty airline X will.." threads? The answer it'll is possible.
Thanks for the information. Looks like UPS has a back up plan as a few UPS semi trucks just arrived at the ramp. Assuming they are taking the cargo to the distribution center.
