Hi there. I came across a photo of the aircraft that crashed as TWA Flight 800, which the photographer claimed was taken the day before the accident. N93119 is shown landing at CDG on July 16, 1996 and claimed to be operating Flight 800. I have been trying to find any kind of flight logs which would show what routes N93119 flew on the day before its demise. The solid facts we all know is that N93119 arrived at JFK from Athens as TWA Flight 881 the day of the accident. Flight 800's route I believe was JFK-CDG-Rome. I guess my question would be...would N93119 have had time to fly TWA Flight 800, then TWA Flight 801 back to JFK, then TWA Flight 800 to Athens, then TWA Flight 881 to JFK between July 16th and 17th? The reason I'm askng is so I can verify that the photographer's facts are straight. I've tried asking the photographer and gotten no respone back. I am aware that there is a huge time zone difference between New York and Europe. What I don't have are the departure and landing times...I guess if anybody could guide me to a place where I could find records of N93119's activity on July 16th and 17th, I'd' appreciate it. Thanks.

Yes, it is possible. Virtually all Europe-bound flights leave the U.S. in the evening and get to Europe the next morning. So this aircraft would have left the U.S. for CDG on July 15th and arrived in CDG on the morning of the 16th. It would return to JFK during the early afternoon of the 16th and would depart for ATH the same evening. It would arrive ATH on the morning of the 17th and return to JFK the same afternoon.

Where is this picture that you saw? Like BigSaabowski said it's totally possible for the plane to to do JFK-CDG-JFK-ATH-JFK-CDG in time for Flight 800 on the 17th. Flight 800 was usually JFK-CDG, however on July 17, 1996, TWA840 to FCO was cancelled due to a mechanical. FCO was added as a tag. The FCO crew was deadheading and all the FCO were on TWA800. The weird thing is that the loads were really light. There were 212 on board, including all the CDG & FCO pax as well something like 50 TWA employees.

And the registration is clearly N93119.
