With the Airbus November 2011 O&D update yesterday and Airbus press release on 10 November 2011 confirming the termination of the A340 programme we still have the two ex Kingfisher A340 500 aircraft built in early 2008 for sale. . to whom and when are they going in to service............. any thoughts / knowledge ... they are still booked as private customer (s) on the Airbus website.

I'd say most likely that they'll end up with a VVIP operator.

I agree. The A340-500 makes a fantastic biz-jet and as they retire from scheduled passenger service down the road, I expect (hope) they will be converted to this role.

There were always rumours that Air Zimbabwe will get them. But at the moment I don't believe that AirZim has enough money to alive (there are down to only one operational aircraft).
