tonight I have been trying to get some information about the flight SQ 25 / 26 SIN - FRA - JFK - FRA - SIN !!! As soon coming that the beauty in the sky a B744 will finally leave the Singapore Airlines Fleet and fly for a last time on this sector.
Even on Flightradar there was at least no nothing visible... I wonder what SQ has planned for it's last trip with a B744.. ??
Will there be a live coverage of the final flight and landing in Singapore like the first A380 did??
And comments are very welcome to this event!!
TR will follow; ZRH-DME SVO-HKT, HKT-SIN, SIN-KUL, KUL-HKT, HKT-SVO & DME-ZRH on LX, UN and AirAsia

Sad to see the 747 era end at Singapore Airlines which has operated almost every version of the magestic jet. Its been almost 40 years since T A Wilson got he first order for 2 747's, little did Boeing know then what was coming. SQ operates many 777 and soon the 787-9.
Last date that 744 is loaded in the system is SQ 227 SIN-MEL on March 24,
with return as SQ 238 MEL-SIN on March 25.
If that is correct, the last commercial SQ 744 flight will touch down in SIN at 15.50 on March 25.
The A380 should be called Giga Top. Why didn't they call it like that?
JFK still sees the SQ 744. I saw one about a month ago. I wouldn't be surprised if JFK soon sees the SQ A380 although I'm not sure that will happen...SQ will be the fifth airline to fly the A380 to JFK. The other four are AF, EK, LH and KE.

Just take a look at my username. It says it all. I love the SIA B744. My first flight on SIA 744 was back in november 1992. Since then I have flown on SIA A310-200, A310-300, A340-300, A380-800 and B777-200.
