Wow! That was quick!

I'd have to agree...only a 21 day repaint, probably standard colors. Glad I saw her in the Wunala colors while she had them though.

Is OEJ positioning to Avalon to have the new interior done or is this just a re-paint?

I really hope they didn't, but I know the chances are that it is repainted in standard colors. Now the only QF birds to have special paint are 737's (right?).

I will never forget arriving at my gate at SYD to see her waiting there for my flight to LAX.

Never seen VH-OEJ in it's special livery, however have had the honour of flying VH-VXB from MEL back home to ADL. May have the chance to fly VH-VXB again if I am lucky on Sunday with two scheduled B738 flights on Sun and Thurs.

So Wunala Dreaming is history? Not very wise from the management.
How sad it is just one of many identical QF 744s now. The big red one was my favourite aeroplane:-(

Never seen the livery in person but it looks spectacular in pictures, so I hope they don't repaint it to the standard livery.. When was VH-OEJ painted in the livery? When it was first purchased from Boeing?

I was never a fan of the Wunala Dreaming livery. In fact, I'm not a fan of many of the special liveries worldwide - they just looked too messy, in my opinion. So if VH-OEJ returns from XMN with its new, standard corporate livery, I'd be rejoicing. The aircraft looks much cleaner that way, and shows off the 744's gorgeous lines way better than a messy Wunala Dreaming livery ever could. I would imagine that stripping Wunala Dreaming would result in some weight savings as well.

How would you all feel if it came back a sort of hybrid livery?

Perhaps the shiny white and updated Roo could be joined by Qantas' newest ambassador wearing a bikini?!

Now a 1970s scheme with the cheatlines and kangaroo wings would make me happy, but it's not going to happen....not until maybe 2020 and the Centenary year ...now there's an idea!

Shame I saw Wunala Dreaming twice last year. I went to Australia for the first time in 2011, in fact I did it twice and saw WD in Sydney both times 3 months apart, how lucky was that.

Yes, I agree! Nothing like watching the same boring corporate livery over and over again. White is obviously the new "spice of life!"

I know I will certainly miss Wunala Dreaming livery! She was always an eye catcher no matter where she flew too. Wunala was a legend and you could instantly recognize it, even if you just saw a tiny part of her! I guess it's a sign of the times! Another special livery for the history books!

Unless she actually does come out of the hanger still decked out in her glory? One can hope..right?

I agree, the livery was a classic. Unlikely though as the current CEO doesn't like to emphasise the Australianness of QF and the 70's livery proudly stated QANTAS - AUSTRALIA

Everyone has their own opinions on special livery applied to aircraft Wunala Dreaming was one of the most well recognised anywhere in the world and to say the bland white / red livery is a far better choice you certainly got no taste at all...

Negative. VH-OJU is the one wearing the OneWorld livery and it is a standard 747-400 fitted with Rolls Royce engines. Prior to her being painted, VH-OEB used to be the one wearing the OneWorld scheme but she is also a standard 747-400 fitted with GE CF6 engines.

As opposed to the current A380 livery that has 'Spirit of Australia' written in big letters on the side??

I wasn't 100% sure and thanks for confirming... That also raises the question why do QF only have one aircraft in the OW scheme course VH-EBL had the OW scheme removed...
