VN is an emerging SE Asian airline. Is it likely that VN will expand their route network to AMS, FCO, JFK, LAX or AKL?

I'd say it's very likely; look at its list of aircraft on order: A380s, A350s and 787s. This is definitely an airline with big ambitions. And they are expanding their airports as well.

Don't laught at me when I say this but I think SJC.
SJC has the largest VN community outside Vietnam, with the second in SNA. Point is they're both in CA. I think a 777, A330, even A350 a few times a week would be smashing.
NH could put an extension on their new 787 SJC route SGNNRTSJC or HANNRTSJC

And consolidators would trash the yeilds and you would have full planes making no money. VN only ticket Office is in San Francisco. If and when they decide to flyto the US, it will be to SFO/LAX., IMO.

SFO service has been rumored as far back as ten years ago, re-iterated when they placed their 777 orders, and again here on A.net. I think a flight that served both cities SFO & LAX as a round robin would be best at first, until loads come up, then a seperate flight for each city.
Next Flights: AS PDX-SEA-KOA on DH4/738 in F, HA KOA-OGG on 717 in Y, AS OGG-PDX on 738 in F
