SRQ has a barely used customs facility with employees available. Mostly for private flights, and for a few international flights on small aircraft. Rather simple to schedule the stop-over there.

Not to mention that SRQ is very nice place catch a pretty sunset, have a good meal and enjoy a peaceful overnight in a gulf-side hotel.

It came in on a Monday afternoon and overnighted & left on Tuesday morning. IIRC, it returned on Thursday & overnighed until mid Friday, then back to Seattle

I guess the crew needed a rest. Stoping in srq and staying by the ocean or the bay is nicer than Orlando or tpa.
