Must be a great view from there, too... A quiet day at the office, plenty of time for getting some reading done with the feet in the clouds!

Reminds me of way back when I was a kid. The family had walked out to good old FBU to get our Sunday lunch at the restaurant, we could see the planes circling overhead, but they couldn't land......
(thought that more technical progress in the last 50 years had solved that problem)

-Also, a friend (now departed) told me a story about once when taxiing at Torslanda (Gothenburg's old airport) with a DC-3, they couldn't see the lines on the ground from the cockpit.... -it was clear up there...

-My flight instructor also told me to count how many runwaylights that were visible before take-off, that would tell me how much sight I had......

-Goes to show much hasn't changed when it comes to fog-related problems....
-No pilot likes to do a critical maneuver (like landing an airplane) when things are just not visible...

There is always a good reason to watch airplanes

Beautiful picture, thanks for posting!

Reminds me of my time in Berkeley, California where you could sometimes see the San Francisco Bay covered in fog in the far distance with only the upper pillons of the Golden Gate Bridge visible.
