Hi All,
I recently heard and saw that they have brought the CR7 back to DFW. I've been seeing a few around here on almost a daily basis. Can anyone tell me where they are destined to from DFW and how many more CR7 flights they are planning on bringing back to DFW? My other question is what date are the ATR's expected to leave the fleet here in DFW. Based on their schedules, I can see that the Caribbean ATR's are staying around for a while. I did a search for related posts but couldn't find anything beyond the initial announcement that MQ/Executive was to retire the ATR's.

ATR ops in DFW will come to an end as of Jan 31st, 2012. Atleast that is last I had heard about this.

I thought the only CRJ route was LAX based aircraft flying LAX-ASE-DFW-ASE-LAX

Rumor right now is that three CR7s are supposed to find their way back to DFW fairly soon, with more possibly to follow. AT7s are supposed to be gone by the end of the month but management itself doesn't have much of an idea so that could be subject to change. I heard that they're rethinking getting rid of some of the AT7s, but it's just banter at this point so don't hang onto that too much. The MIA EMJ base is being pretty well gutted as well right now due to the AT7s leaving DFW and jets coming back, so things are pretty busy around the system.

We could use CR7s on FWA-DFW. 3 ER4 flights a day, and they're all packed to the brim.

Would be great to the CRJ7 return to DFW in greater number; however as stated above, DFW only currently sees 1 CRJ7 flight (ASE).

Perhaps we might see some shuffling going on as stated above. From what i've read on this thread and heard by people here in DFW, the following is what is going on in the immediate future...
-AT7's will be gone from DFW effective 01/31 and will be partially parked and partially sent back to MIA.
-Some ERJ flying in MIA is to be moved elsewhere.
-Based on their schedules, ERJs will fill existing pure AT7 or mixed ERJ/AT7 routes from DFW (TYR, GGG, GRK, ABI, ACT, SPS, LCH, LFT, SHV, BTR, AEX, FSM, etc, etc, etc.).
So could we perhaps see some of the displaced ERJ's from MIA heading to ORD and then sending some CR7s back to DFW? Or maybe the ERJ's leaving MIA could be coming straight to DFW flying?
Acey559's post sounds similar to what AA/MQ people have been hearing on their rumor mill.

Our displacement bid results came out a few days ago and there were quite a few MIA EMJ pilots that were displaced to Chicago. When I went to training there were 14 MIA Embraer slots in my new hire class and I was one of those, but ORD is a much easier commute for me so I transferred. It worked out perfectly anyway because quite a few ahead of me in class, as well as most of the ones behind me are going to end up in Chicago anyway, and I think a couple got either DFW or NYC or both. It'll be interesting to see what happens to us after the rest of the fleet leases get negotiated.
