Hello fellow aviation fans
'Chris' in the aviation forum brilliantly brought to my attention the possibility of downloading or watching clips on St. Maarten a few days ago, so I thought I would expand on that as you can watch clips of BKK and SAN as well.
It is available on Media Player at:
http://www.airutopia.com/videos.html
They are excellent clips, BUT I recommend DSL connection or at least 56K bc they come out slow on my computer but great on my friends' who has DSL.
Hey, it's better than nothing and its free at least!

Hello Gregor,
I don't have any personal site, there are too many other good sites that have enough good info like the one we are on now....
but very few offer video clips, so that is why I bookmarked airutopia.com.

Thanks for the link! This is some AWESOME SAN footage! I go to the University of SD about 5 min north of the airport and I love to photograph the planes coming in over the hills and all, and this is just stunning to watch! Thanks!
My posts/replies are strictly my opinion and not that of any company, organization, or Southwest Airlines.

Yeah, it is neat footage - the St. Maarten footage is excellent as well. I enjoy any footage at airports I have not visited and would love to see more of it!

Hello fellow aviation fans,
Has anyone been to St. Maarten? From this footage it seems like one of the most amazing airports - does anyone know others that can compare?

There used to be an area in Los Angeles that was similiar to St. Maarten. It was right next to a restaurant called the Proud Bird. You parked in a lot right next to it and the planes would roar over at very very low altitude because the runway, like at Maarteen, was right over the fence. I hate that this place has now been fenced off. It was my favorite place to spot.
