The only thing missing is a baby plane in new UA livery beneath the other two planes.

Dear Continentalfan, I am afraid this thread has to be deleted since the picture shown is not in compliance with the forum rules (no adult stuff) !!!!

Heck, who ever said the 737 looks like a pig? On this picture they remind me rather of two rabbits...

They should have run this by A.net members before publishing it. UA didn't have any 737's at the time of the merger and CO had been out of SkyTeam since 2009 but their plane still has the SkyTeam logo on it. The belly of the UA plane also looks more like an Airbus, although who knows, maybe it's already showing a little baby bump.

Just another media fail!

Do you really think any of that matters to the target audience of that magazine?

Of course not, I'm just making light of it because oftentimes members of this forum feel that journalists should be aviation experts as well. None of the "errors" take away from what the illustrator was trying to express.

Kind of funny, but do we have to sexualize everything? Read the top corner, and the Facebook IPO is also being sexualized. Is 5th grade blue humor appropriate for a business rag?

Given that it is the marketing "geniuses" employed by the big-business types that reads these sorts of mag's that do the sexualizing, yes, it is entirely appropriate.

I am with you here, the image looks unnervingly like a mid-air colision, even more so with the sun in the background.

as far a ST vs *A logo, I am surprised they are there at all...

Thanks for the link!

I've only read the first page so far, but I'm totally gobsmacked. Why don't these people eat and drink the catering in a real life situation? It reminded me of that Mission Impossible that Heston Blumenthal did on British Airways. He had to work really hard to finally convince the Executive Chef for Gate Gourmet that food looked and tasted differently coming out of an aircraft oven! Crimeny. Where do they get these people?!?

You mean the coffee? If it makes you feel any better they changed the packs around to accommodate UAs taller brew baskets. Its worth noting that while the merger hasn't been perfect they have done allot of things right...discussed later in the article...and have changed course when they rolled out a procedure that didn't work out quite right (ie: changing from UAs WilMA boarding system to rows...and back again   ) So far at least from my perspective they have taken the best of both worlds...which is exactly what they said they were going to do.

25 Post contains images Tigerguy : Interesting cover. They should make one after the merger is fully complete with a United plane smoking a cigarette.
26 T5towbar : I still have a T-shirt with that logo back in the day. Got it in the early 90's from "South Of The Border" truckstop in SC. Never in my wildest idea

34 FlyMeToTheMoon : To me it looks more like a mid air collision which is of course the wrong image when you talk about airlines...
35 Post contains images CO777DAL : That can pretty much describe the merger lol. As we have all seen the PMCO and PMUA employees and customers have their differences. Now as to the off
36 Post contains images flyingalex : It reminds me of this, also from the 1970s:

38 0NEWAIR0 : They should have used an A320 for United. That would have made a lot of people, on this forum, very happy. (And of course, it would probably piss off
