The scheduling department at Aeromexico is busy again, today applying with the DOT to commence proposed service between Mexico City and Orlando Florida.
Aeromexico while not providing a proposed start up date, or schedule proposes to link the cities using Boeing 737-700 equipment.

Quoting Mexicana757 (Reply 7): The application is just a renewal of exemption.
Renewal would say "renewal".
While maybe a clerical error on behalf of AM, this was not filed as a renewal, and statements in various places in the document make this to be a new application.

It could be an error in wording but they are currently flying this route 9X weekly...sometimes 10.

It may not say renewal in the application itself, but it says renewal in the document details page on regulations.gov of this document in the details tab:
Application of Aerovias de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. requesting renewal of its exemption to the extent necessary to permit Aeromexico to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between Mexico City, Mexico and Orlando, Florida.

We must be reading different things...
I'm looking at the pdf and no where does it have the word renewal.
" Pursuant to 49 U.S.C. § 40109(c), Aerovias de Mexico, S.A. de C.V.
("Aeromexico") respectfully requests an exemption from the provisions of 49
U.S.C. § 41301 to the extent necessary to permit Aeromexico to engage in
scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between
Mexico City, Mexico and Orlando, Florida. "
Even under document title says:
"APPLICATION OF AEROVIAS DE MEXICO, S.A. DE C.V. FOR AN EXEMPTION"
Not renewal.

It's not in the pdf file, its on the page where you get into the pdf file. the area with the plus sign that says Show Detail. You should see this:
Abstract: Application of Aerovias de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. requesting renewal of its exemption to the extent necessary to permit Aeromexico to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property, and mail between Mexico City, Mexico and Orlando, Florida.

Thanks for the lesson on the US Govt website, however I do not utilize it. I receive the applications directly being on the distribution list.
In this case, AM's representatives clearly misfiled and misstated their intent on their submitted application.
