ATL:

Eastern, Braniff, Piedmont (merged w/USAir), Southern (merged w/North Central to form Republic, who merged w/NWA), Air Atlanta, Kiwi International, ProAir, Private Jet (changed name to National, then soon disappeared), Western Pacific, BCal, Southeast, Varig, JAL, Cayman Airways, Austrian Airways, Sabena, I'm sure there are numerous others, but I'm not really sure what other airlines (still around or grounded) ever flew into ATL.

These used to fly into ELP (where I am originally from):

TWA- left in May 2000
United- left in the late 80s
original Frontier- left after bankruptcy

I remember seeing several UA 727s parked at the terminal. Does anyone have any information on their service to ELP? What cities they served? Number of daily departures?

My hometown airport, EWR (Newark, NJ), has seen many carriers come and go. First, before Continental, there was PeoplExpress. Now ExPeoplExpress....

Other airlines that used to serve Newark that no longer exist:
Braniff
Highland Express
Swiss World
Eastern
Sun Jet International
Markair
National
Kitty Hawk
New York Airways (helicopter shuttle service)
Colonial Airways (shuttle service, using CV580s)

Airlines that served EWR but were swallowed by bigger fish:
Piedmont
New York Air
TWA (they had a flight to LHR in 1977, using a 707)

Airlines that still exist but no longer serve EWR:
Air Aruba

I think Valujet is now AirTran. Correct me if I am wrong, I am from Canada and have never seen either airline Big grin. I think I read that on the forums, they probably changed their name because of the bad rep they got after that crash.

Zagreb, Croatia...

1. Air Canada (terminated before the war 1991, never came back)
2. PanAm (r.i.p.)
3. JAT (ZAG was JAT's hub, seems like they are coming back next year...)
4. Adria Airways (still using ZAG as a alternative apt for LJU on bad weather conditions)

Also, KLM and SAS aircrafts are not visiting ZAG anymore, since they have codeshare agreement with other airlines (same as Delta).
