Has also been posted here on Airliners.net: Transaero Returns To LAX (by LAXintl Feb 14 2012 in Civil Aviation)

About TSO/UN there was in 2011 the information that they have ordered the B747-8I. Till today I didn‘t find any confermation about this. Maybe they are waiting for the confermation of the lovley aircraft.
Also spotted a photo on Airlines.net that there is the first B748-8F arrived for ABC Cargo in SVO:

In addition there is one question that I have about the airports: Since a while Kursk (URS/UUOK) is closed since a while for maintainance.. Does anybody know about the status of the airport when will be available for the flights?? I think that there where flights regular fro VKO/UUWW to URS!!!

I very much hope for the good discussion on this Russian Thread and look forward to any imputs and corrections!!

Thanks and cheers

Aeroflot have several times mentioned that their LAX route is one of most unprofitable for them.
How UN is going to make it work? What kind of traffic will they rely on?
I quickly checked current offers from MOW to LAX and there were numerous cheap options starting from USD 634 round-trip all taxes included.

Jat Airways will be increasing Belgrade-Moscow from daily to 10 weekly flights. Two flights will depart in the evening and return to Belgrade early in the morning (convenient for onward connections) and one weekly frequency will depart at 08:00 in the morning.

Good move and finally some variety in schedule (the two daily flights were previously departing with an only 1h gap).
But is it JU increasing the frequencies or SU ? Cause i've heard SU is also increasing frequencies. That ends by being a lot... Would/should this route be able to support the deployment of an A332 or another wide body?

PS: Any news on JU (or another airline) for BEG-LED ?
