I coincidentally tracked Boeing's first 787 with GENX engines! I don't know if this is the first flight, or just the first a/c, but it for sure was doing a test flight.

Hasn't this plane (ZA005 - LN5) been flying since June 10, 2010? Am I missing something here?

Definitely not the first flight of a GENx 787.

From June of 2010:

When it made its first flight, N787FT was the first 787 to fly with GEnX engines installed. Its probably a carry over from that.

No that was ZA236/LN35

There have been a large number of 787 flights with GEnx engines. Hopefully they will enter service soon.

The search engine is screwed. Try searching genx, first flight on A.net...the latest entry is from Jan, 2011. Easy to miss something if it can't be found.

What the...?
